About

Armaan Khan, son of the late Ustad Rashid Khan, is an emerging Indian classical vocalist and a prominent representative of the Rampur-Sahaswan gharana. He has been recognized as a rightful heir to this musical tradition, carrying forward the legacy of his father .​

 

Armaan began his musical journey by providing vocal support to his father during performances. Over time, he has established his own identity, showcasing versatility by performing classical ragas and exploring genres like Rabindra Sangeet. His renditions of Tagore’s compositions, such as “Antare Jagichho Antarjami” in Raag Behaag and “Jogi Hey, Ke Tumi Hridiashone” in Raag Kedar, have been noted for their emotional depth and technical proficiency .​


In 2024, Armaan made his playback singing debut in the Bengali film “Griho Prabesh,” directed by Indraadip Dasgupta. This marked a significant milestone in his career, expanding his reach beyond classical music audiences.​


Armaan has performed at various prestigious events, including the North American Bengali Conference (NABC) in Chicago, where he captivated audiences with his performances . He has also collaborated with his father in concerts, such as a Durga Stuti performance in Raag Durga during the Tridhara Sammilani Durga Puja in 2021 .​
