Wanted Yesterday is a classic rock & blues band from Mumbai, formed by seasoned adman, Subhash Kamath and his friends from the music industry. The name comes from a cliché describing the often-unreasonable deadlines in the ad world i.e. “This is wanted yesterday!!” Since the band plays a lot of music from the ‘60s and ‘70s, the name also serves as a cheeky descriptor to the kind of music they revel in. Wanted Yesterday reinterprets famous songs by J.J. Cale, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Joe Cocker, Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan, as well as a variety of classic blues numbers. Given that live music is becoming hugely popular, Wanted Yesterday believes “It’s time to bring back the golden era of music to a new audience.”
